Kitsune Terms of Use

01Agreeing to these terms

These terms are about Kitsune, the habit tracker for iPhone, iPad and Android, and the website that introduces it. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using them. “We” and “us” mean the team that makes Kitsune.

If you download Kitsune from the App Store, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app, and Apple is not responsible for Kitsune or its support. If you download Kitsune from Google Play, Google Play’s Terms of Service also apply to your download and purchases.

02What Kitsune is

Kitsune is a habit, mood and journaling app for personal, non-commercial use. It helps you keep track of routines, and it does not guarantee any particular result. Its breathing exercises, moods and reminders are for general wellbeing. They are not medical, psychological or other professional advice, and they are no substitute for it.

03Energy, Stardust and items

Energy, Stardust, levels, items, outfits, visitors and badges are virtual in-app rewards. They have no cash value, and they cannot be redeemed for money or transferred through the app. You earn them under the rules shown in Kitsune, and those rules may change as the app develops.

Some of those rules depend on the pace you choose. In Normal mode, an island’s Weather reaching zero moves you back one level. In Challenge mode, it restarts you at level 1 with no Energy, while you keep your Stardust. Vacation mode pauses this. The app describes each mode before you choose it.

04Kitsune Pro

Kitsune Pro is optional and offered where the app shows it. Current prices, billing type and what is included are shown in the app before you buy.

• Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
• Any auto-renewing subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before that period ends.
• You can manage or cancel a subscription in your store account settings.
• Refund requests are handled by the store you bought from, under its own terms.

If Pro ends, what you already own stays yours, including Pro items, outfits and islands you have unlocked. You lose the ability to get new Pro content, and Pro settings such as themes, icons and sounds return to their defaults, until you have Pro again.

05Advertising

Kitsune may show ads provided by Google AdMob and its partners. We do not create these ads or endorse what they promote, and anything you do with an advertiser is between you and that advertiser. Please do not interfere with ads, or generate fake views or taps. Our Privacy Policy explains the data involved and your choices.

06Your data and backups

Kitsune keeps your data on your device and does not offer accounts or cloud sync. You are responsible for keeping a backup before you uninstall the app or change devices. Restoring a backup can either merge with the app’s current data or replace it, and the app asks which before it starts. How we handle information is described in the Privacy Policy.

07Using Kitsune fairly

When using Kitsune or this website, please do not:

• break the law, or use them to harm or mislead others;
• copy, resell or redistribute the app or its artwork;
• reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
• interfere with the website or try to reach restricted areas;
• suggest that we have partnered with or endorsed you when we have not.

08Kitsune’s artwork and name

Kitsune’s name, characters, artwork, software and this website belong to their owners and licensors. We give you a personal, revocable right to use the app as these terms allow. Fonts, sounds and software components may have their own licenses. You are welcome to share links to this site.

09Other companies’ services

Kitsune relies on services from other companies, including Apple and Google, and the website may link to other websites. Those companies set their own terms and privacy practices, and we do not control them.

10Changes to Kitsune

We may add, change or remove features, islands, items and rewards, and we may pause or end the app or this website. Information here about upcoming features or release dates is not a promise that they will happen.

11Warranties and responsibility

Kitsune and this website are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about their accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose, and we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, including lost data, profits or opportunities. Nothing in these terms removes rights that consumer law does not allow us to exclude.

12Applicable law

The laws of Vietnam govern these terms, and disputes may be brought before a competent court in Vietnam, subject to any mandatory rights you have where you live. If something goes wrong, please write to us first so we can try to put it right.

13Updates to these terms

We may update these terms as Kitsune changes, and we will revise the date at the top of this page. If you keep using Kitsune after a change takes effect, the new terms apply. Where the law requires more notice or consent, we will provide or ask for it.
